WHATS IN A NAME?
What does
“open charm”
mean?
In physics, “open charm” describes a particle that contains a charm quark without its equivalent antiquark. For us, it is a poetic starting point; a reminder that not everything needs to be neatly paired or finished.
Sometimes leaving something open is what gives imagination, discovery, and connection room to grow.
Why a Public Benefit Corporation?
A Public Benefit Corporation is a company built to pursue more than profit. It allows a business to put a broader public purpose alongside its financial goals and make that purpose part of how the company is run.
That’s why we chose this structure for Open Charm. We want to build spaces are not just successful, but also genuinely good for the people who spend time in them.
For us, being a Public Benefit Corporation means those goals aren’t just part of our marketing. They’re part of why we exist.
